Long hikes beneath an endless desert sky teach you to listen differently.
Out there, the world is sun-bleached and thirsty—
every cactus clings to its secrets, every stone holds the memory of rain.
Then, just as the heat hums loud enough to drown your thoughts,
you hear it: a shimmer, a whisper, a promise.
A hidden stream, ribboning through the canyon floor or beneath the trees nestled in amongst the brambles and bushes..
The desert, parched and brittle, drinks deeply and blushes green.
It feels almost illicit—like stumbling on a miracle meant only for you.
Water in the desert is love in its purest form:
unlooked for, unearned, life itself rushing in
to turn dust to bloom and silence to song.
This melody was born from that moment—
a hymn for falling water,
for fragile worlds sustained by grace,
for the reminder that even in the driest seasons,
magic still runs just beneath the surface,
waiting to reveal itself to those who keep walking.
Enjoy,

Water Sound
Deep in the desert
You see the water run
Something magical
when you’re in the warm hot sun
And when you hear it splash
You can feel it fall
Nothing like the sound of a water call
I watch the water tumble down
And it’s so magic
Things used to be so brown
Now they’re turning green, the desert calls
There’s nothing quite as lovely as a waterfall
And in my mind I feel the love
That the desert feels when the water falls from above
And I can see the desert as it gobbles down
And turns to green from a broken brown
There’s nothing like a water sound
In the desert dry and brown
And nothing tastes so clear and clean
As a cold fresh drink from a mountain stream
And as my lips purse to sip
I wonder will this be it
Will other generations find their stream
As drinkable as this one is for me
And here it falls just for me
And there’s nothing like the taste from a clear mountain stream
A water crisp and cold and clean
If you want to know magic come with me
Deep in the desert and you’ll see
There’s nothing quite as clear and sound
As water when it’s falling to the ground
